Oh, the books we will find……….at the thrift shop

Last week, my 17yo daughter and 7mo son went to the thrift shop for my oldest daughter to apply for a job (she wasn’t called back…) and while I was there, I went over to the books, of course!  Well, those books were still sitting in the box top this morning waiting for me to put them on a shelf (all done now!), but I thought I would take a quick pic to show the treasures we found!   The Unschooled Mind book was a surprise, there are less than a handful of homeschooling families in the area, so it is always a shock to find a book like that in a thrift shop.  We don’t unschool, but I love learning :)   What cool things are you finding at the thrift shop lately?

OH I love your haul!!!! Silas has just read 4 or 5 Trixie Belden books this past week! And we both loved Underground to Canada! I have a bunch of Bobbsie Twin books too! I think we are just missing one Hardy Boy book in the series…I always liked them better than Nancy Drew…lol Cherry Ames is another good one…she’s a nurse but is always stuck in some mysterious development…lol Thanks for sharing!!

  • I was quite impressed too! We have a few Hardy Boys books and have had some Nancy Drew and Trixie Beldon books in the past, so it is time for the littles to be introduced :) I will keep my eye out for Cherry Ames, thanks for the recommendation Lori-Dawn!
